~What Else Is She Going To Say~

My mom, Lani and I decided to have a shopping day. We had a very productive and entertaining day. Here are a few things that came out of Lani's little mouth today -
* We were walking through the mall, when Lani noticed a lady wearing a Gamecock Shirt. Lani decides to tell her that her shirt is yucky, the Tigers are going to win today and that C.J. Spiller is going to win the Heisman Trophy. Luckily, the lady thought this was cute and laughed. This was also during the few minutes of the game that Clemson was winning.
*While we were at Sam's, my mom bought Lani the Kidz Bop Christmas CD. We listened to this the rest of the day. She decided that Feliz Navidad was going to be her favorite song of the day; however, Feliz Navidad was not coming out of her lips. While we were in Target, Lani kept saying "Police Be Not God." My mom and I kept saying stop and why are you saying that and she would give us this look like we had lost our minds and kept saying "Police Be Not God." - Turns out she was saying Feliz Navidad - So we have been practicing Feliz Navidad this evening. I would hate for her to go to church tomorrow saying that and everyone thinking my kid is crazy!!
*We also saw a little person on a scooter in Target and she clearly and loudly shouts - "Why is that man so little." Ok we keep walking over a few aisles and then explain to her that she just can't ask those kinds of things out loud in public!
*We also went to visit my Grandma Brown at the hospital. Well Lani found this AnMed Magazine with some new contraption that resembled a CT Scan machine. Well it really bothered Lani and she thought that Grandma Brown got in this machine everyday and they would close the door. She did not like this at all. She even decides to walk over to a nurse, show her the picture on the magazine and ask "Why do YOU put my Grandma Brown in here and shut the door." the nurse was a little confused and we had to explain for the 10th time that they don't put Grandma Brown in the machine.
What is she going to say next?

Happy Birthday Dax

My Sweet Dax baby turned 2 yesterday!!! He was a little confused by the holiday! When we woke him up yesterday morning and told him happy Birthday, he gave us this weird look and told us no! At school his teacher told him Happy Birthday and he responded with - "No, Happy Birthday Lani!" He wouldn't even open his present, Lani had to assist him with that too! I'm hoping his party is more successful and that he gets excited about his presents. I'm thinking he may be a little shy and not like all the attention. He had his 2 year check-up today. He weighs 28 pounds and is in the 75th percentile. Dr. Maddox stated that he could possibly 6 feet tall when he grows up! He was a little upset with the shots he saw coming and kept saying - No Band-Aid, No Band-Aid! He was happy to leave the office with his sucker and sticker. He couldn't get out of that office fast enough - He was ready to get to school and see Ms. Price!

Halloween - Wow! A Week Long Event!!!

Our Halloween Festivities began with a Transmission Party!! Transmission is a College and Career Ministry at our Church - We love these guys - and the one who did not attend!!!

Our next event was a visit to the Pumpkin Patch! Lani and Dax loved picking out their pumpkin. Dax is still talking about all of the pumpkins!

The next night, we headed to Aunt J's house for soup and pumpkin carving! We had a great time. Dax wasn't that interested in the carving part, but as you can tell, Lani thought it was awesome!

Our Pumpkin! I think it turned out great!

Thursday, Lani and Dax had their class parties and then went trick-or-treating at my office!

Lani was excited about her cupcake!

Dax and his girlfriend Hayley! I love her little smile!

My half dressed Tiger - He absolutely refused to wear his tiger head!!!

Finally, it is Halloween!

Kate and Emma joined in for the Trick-or-Treating too!!!

Proud Of My Little Guy!!!

I had to change Dax's clothes after supper, because he was definitely covered in chocolate pudding! Before I had a chance to put on new clothes, he decided to take off his diaper (which was dry by the way) walk to the trash can, put it in the trash can, he walked into the bathroom sat on his little potty and actually used the potty! I was amazed!!! This is the first time he has shown interest at home with the potty! We of course got all excited and rewarded him with a tootsie roll. And guess what what 30 minutes later - Off the diaper came and he headed back to the potty and used it again! So where's Jarod - At the store - buying underwear. We were lucky with Lani - as soon as she showed an interest, we put her in p*antie*s and at 21 months, she was potty trained. Well, all I have at my house right are little girl p*antie*s and Jarod would actually die if I tried to put them on him! Yay for Dax -I'm hoping potty training goes as easy the second time around!!!!

Where Did That Come From?

-Lani's Awana Bible verse this week was "God created the Heavens and The Earth." Genesis 1:1
Lani's version - "God Created the Holy Word." This is what she repeated after me, every time we tried to practice.

-Sometime in October, "Where The Wild Things Are" -the movie- is suppose to come out. Every time the commercial is on TV, Lani says "Look Mommy, The Wild Rumpus."

-Row, Row, Row your boat has a few new words too. Row, Row, Row your boat, Gently down the stream, Mary, Mary, Mary, Mary, Like a Butter Dream. Wow! I had no idea these were the words to this song :)

-Lani also has a crazy word for cantaloupe....Puffalope and Buffalo...Don't know how she confuses these words, but if you ever hear her say this, she is definitely wanting some cantaloupe.

~A Big Suprise~

Well, for the second month in a row, my period has been late. I really thought last month that I was pregnant; however, I took two pregnancy test and they were both negative. So this month rolls around and once again - I'm late. I didn't think I was pregnant - there's no way that could happen!!! Well I had a pregnancy test left over from last month, so out of the blue, I thought I would take it. Jarod had no idea that I was upstairs doing this by the way - I had not even mentioned to him that I was late. We got a POSITIVE Result very quickly. So yes, I am pregnant with baby #3! It was a complete surprise, but a good surprise!!! I go to the doctor October 14Th! I'm obviously not very far along, but I couldn't keep this a secret!!!!

Lovin The Rain

Friday was a very rainy day! Lani and Dax didn't get to play outside and I could tell they were going a little stir crazy. When we pulled up in the driveway, Dax already had his shoes and socks off. I got him out of the car and he headed for a puddle. He jumped so much his shorts fell off and then Lani joined in on his fun!

Fight Tigers, Fight Tigers, Fight, Fight, Fight

Like I have mentioned in previous post, we are a football lovin family!!! We didn't have tickets to Saturday's game, but that didn't' keep us away from the pre-game festivities! We just couldn't stay away!!! Dax would say "Go Tigers!" and Lani would cheer to anyone we passed - 1,2,3,4 -Fight, Tigers, Fight, Fight, Fight - She hasn't gotten the C-L-E-M-S-O-N-T-I-G-E-RRRR-S part conquered yet!

It's That Time Of Year Again!!!

Football Season! We love it! In our house, this is a very exciting time of year!!!

Lani and Dax waiting for the game to begin!

Ivy and Lani

Watching the game! Let me tell you, Dax watched the entire game! He did so good and it was like he knew what he was watching! Growing up, My mom, dad and I went to Pendleton Games every week! This would have absolutely made my dad's day that Dax was so interested in this football game. It will be eight years in October since my dad passed away. I can handle a lot of things emotionally about him; however, walking into that stadium and looking at that field and knowing how much he enjoyed being there, gets to me every year! Even though I get a little teary eyed, I love this memory!

Lani wanted to go see the bulldog, and then when she gets down there, she decided to act like she was scared of him!

Her hair bow is actually the same as the cheerleaders. The funny thing - The hair bow is bigger than her pony tail!

Someone Turned 50!!!

On Wednesday, August 26th, my mom turned 50!!! Wow - I can't believe my mom is really 50! That just means I'm getting closer to 30 - Yikes. My mom got a nice surprise at her office!!! I decided to send her a clown. I knew she would either love it, or want to kill me! She thought it was great! That night we cooked out and got a few laughs over a few funny gag gifts! I really think my mom enjoyed her 50th birthday!!!

The clown brought these flowers with him! One of the balloons said "Ain't it Nifty, Regina is 50!"

~Our Weekend~

Friday Night - We decided to have a camp out in the living room. Lani and Dax were so excited. We were getting new a mattress on Saturday, so J went ahead and put the old mattress in the living room on Friday Night. The mattress served several purposes - a wrestling ring, a trampoline and a bed. Lani, Dax and I slept on the mattress, J slept on the couch. Lani and Dax finally fell asleep around 11 o'clock while watching "Horton Hears a Who."

Saturday - We had a very busy day, cleaning, new mattress, shopping for furniture for our Sunday School Class and a little fun at Gatti Town!

These two would not look at the camera at the same time :)
