Proud Mommy
So I have to brag on Lani a little..Today when I got to school to pick Lani up, Ms. Amber said she wanted to talk to me about Lani's progress report. I have to admit I was a little nervous, because I immediately thought "oh no who did she push today." Well, we started talking about all the things they have been working on. Well she received a 100% on her ABC's...no surprise...that's like her favorite song....100% on counting from 1 - 10....And here's where I was completely shocked 100% on countin 1-10 in SPANISH!!!! I had no idea she could do that....Now that we know she can do it....she has been counting all evening!!! She did however mess up on a few colors...she gets orange and yellow confused...and brown completely threw her off. She got 100% on animal sounds...and she got a 90% on shapes...she confuses rectangles and squares as well. But over all I think she did great!! I am very pleased at what she is learning at "her new school."

WeEkEnD!!!!!
We had a busy weekend ~ Well Friday started with a call form daycare...Lani was being a drama queen and did not want to take a nap at school. Her teacher called me and I had to talk her into taking a nap by explaining that she wouold not go to the football game unless she listened to her teachers and took a nap. Through her crying and sniffles she replied " with ok mommy, I love you." Ms. Amber said she went righ to sleep when we got off the phone. When I picke dher up, she was quick to say she could go to the game, because she took a nap. Saturday we had a family reunion, Connor's birthday party and Lori's 4oth birhtday. Sunday we went to church and had a lunch with the college kids after. Enjoy the pics...I'm a little behind, so there's a few from last week end as well....
She also loves giving kisses...

More cuteness..
Dax always wakes up in the happiest mood. I love it in the mornings ~ He is always so happy and loving and he loves to cuddle. Well he has just gotten really good at clapping his hands. He's been doing it for a while, but now he's an expert. Well he claps his little hands all the time. This morning I looked in at him while he was sleeping and he was even clapping his hands in his sleep. His arms were stretched out over his head and he was clapping away.
I haven't got used to this colder weather in the mornings yet, and I didn't put a jacket on either one of them yesterday morning. I know ~ I just wasn't thinking. Well when they went outside to play Lani had to wear a jacket out of the lost and found. She was not going to let that happen again. As soon as she woke up this morning she kept saying "I need my life jacket." I went on to explain that she was not going swimming today and she did not need her life jacket. She then led me to her closet and said "mommy, I need the pink one with the flowers on it." She continued the rest of the morning referring to it as her life jacket. Dax needed his life jacket as well. Then she was worried about me because I didn't put my life jacket on. It made me giggle, with her calling them life jackets, because what would people think if we walked into daycare with our life jackets on. That would never happen, but I just had this mental picture of us wearing life jackets all winter and thought it was funny.

Morning Madness
On any normal day, Me, Lani and Dax are rushing to get out of the house, get to daycare and then to work. Jarod leaves while we are still asleep, but if either one of them is awake, he helps feed them or someting. There are lots of days that I think, I should get up earlier and it wouldn't be such a rush, but that never happens. However, one day I was up like 45 minutes earlier and still walked out of the door at the same time and still felt rushed. So if it's not going to make a difference, I prefer to sleep an extra 45 minutes. Well, Lani loves to sing! She sings her ABC's all of the time and her current favorite is , bringing home my baby bumble bee. Every morning on the way to daycare, she is the happiest thing and singing the entire way. Yesterday morning I enjoyed her version of Old McDonald. Lani decided that Old McDonald and BINGO were the same song. Here are her Lyrics...Old McFarmer had a pig, with an oink here and an oink there, BINGO was his name-O. I tried joining her to help her sing Old McDonald had a farm, but she continued with : Old McFarmer had a cow, B-I-N-G-O and Moo-moo was her name. She's a little confused, but it sounded so cute.

What will she say next...
Well Lani got an umbrella the other day and has been wanting it to rain for a few days. Well yesterday as I was loading the car Lani looked outside and saw that it was wet. She was like Mommy, I need my umbrella. So I got it out of the closet and opened it up for her to use. Well she gets outside and well..No rain...Lani then looks toward Heaven and begins yelling " Jesus, turn on the rain!" She looked at me and was like where's the rain. I explained that Jesus decided for the sun to shine and that maybe it will rain later. Then she looks up again and says "Jesus, Turn on the rain right now." I had the same conversation with her and put her in the car. About 2 miles down the road, Lani says...Mommy...Jesus isn't listening to me. Well a few days ago...Lani had spaghetti at school. She was a little upset, because the fish on her shirt were dirty. Miss Amber told me when I picked her up that she was worried about her dirty shirt. Amber explained ot her that her mommy or daddy would wash her shirt when she got home. Lani then told her that "her mommy washes clothes, but her daddy watches football."
