~First Day~

Dax started 2-k yesterday ~ My baby is growing up! He wouldn't wear his back pack, but he loves to carry his lunch box. He had a great day! Lani's first day in

3-k will be Monday - She can't wait!!!

Surgery Day

On Tuesday, Lani had her tonsils removed and Dax had tubes put in and his adenoids out.

They did great!

Pre-Surgery - Ready to go in their new pajamas and stuffed animals!

This is what happens when you tell a 2 year old he can't have a cup! He was so hungry and thirsty - He just did not understand! We had to take cups for after surgery and Lani discovered they were in the diaper bag. Well, Dax was crying for a cup and Lani unzipped the bag and tried to give it to him. The pic is of what happened when I put the cup back in the bag!

She was so Brave! She decided to decorate her dog and Dax's zebra with stickers!

Not so brave - Dax was a little worried...He didn't want the nurse to take his blood pressure or check his temperature!

Off to surgery - He was ready to ride in the wagon! Lani wanted to go with him! She told some guy that walked by to take her brother a blanket because he was having surgery!

Lani's Turn - As you can tell, she wasn't scared at all!!!

Awww...He slept all the way home and then for about 2 hours after that. Then he was all better! You would have never known he had surgery!

So, Lani did not fall asleep on the way home and she only took about a thirty minute nap. After surgery, they numbed the back of her throat, so she wasn't in much pain. When we got home, Lani ate 2 pancakes, a bowl of ice cream and a Popsicle. The second day was a little rough - She didn't eat hardly anything!

A Little Bit Of Randomness....

-Lani started Gymnastics Tuesday night. She loved it! She did such a good job! Lani loves her leotard! I can't believe I forgot my camera. It was so sweet - Lani had to make sure, at all times, that Dax was watching her "tricks."

-Dax has started getting a few freckles across his nose. Finally, one of my kids has something like me - I didn't think it was going to happen!

-Double surgery on Tuesday - Lani is having her tonsils out, Dax is having tubes in and adenoids out! Nurse Duty will last all week.

-Lani and Dax will miss their first day of "school" on the 19th, due to surgery. Lani has been so excited about buying school supplies. Does anyone else love school supplies? I'm excited that she is so excited about it. Oh and we found Princess Glue Stick, you would have thought Santa had been to our house - She absolutely loved the glue sticks!

Our Last Vacation Adventure....

On our way home from Myrtle Beach/Charleston, the four of us decided to stop at Riverbank Zoo in Columbia. It was a lot of fun, but very hot!!! As we were leaving we wondered if stopping at the zoo at the end of July in the middle of the day was a good idea. Well, Lani and Dax had a great time and then slept the rest of the way home, so it couldn't have been to bad of an idea.

Dax and J checking out the Elephants!! Of course, Dax decided to call every animal a dog. This would frustrate Lani and she would tell him the names of the animals - Dax would listen to Lani then wave to the animal and say "Bye Dog."
