Summer Fun Day 2

WOW! What a busy fun day we had! We decided to head to the playground this morning before it got too hot. We just went to a small park near our house, and Lani and Dax were the only kids there. We then went to visit my grandparents and Lani and Dax had way too many snacks, but hey what are grandparents for. We went home for a while, had lunch and then headed to Aunt Betty's pool! This was their first swim for the summer, so they did have to get adjusted to swimmies and just being in the water. We had a great day. All three fell asleep on the way home!!

Day 1 of Summer Fun

We didn't get to do what we had originally planned. However, we didn't let the rain keep us inside. Fun time of the day - Lani and Dax playing in the rain!! Who doesn't love jumping in a water puddle? I know I looked for puddles to jump in when I was little and I'm glad my mom let me do it - most of the time anyways!! I hope Lani and Dax had fun playing in the rain today!!

~Ideas For Summer~

My summer home with all three kids, officially started today! Friday was Lani and Dax's last day of school. I have tons of ideas for things for us to do this summer. I put my "free/cheap" ideas of yellow peices of paper, and on Sundays, Lani and Dax pull out a few to do the following week. I have also started a reward/get a star system and we have "cooler/things to do with money" on green peices of paper. Lani has already been aware of the Chuck E. Cheese idea and has been asking to go since Saturday. So feel free to give me some of your ideas, I definetly don't want to spend this summer inside and in front of the tv, so I would love to hear some of your ideas!!

~This and That~

Dax loves this helmet - This helmet was a hand me down! It was my cousin, Brett's, who is now a junior in college, his brother Brady then got to have fun with and now it's Dax's. Dax played with is at Christmas at their house and has been asking for it since. This is his favorite toy at the moment!!

Lani has introduced Harper to Silly Bands! Lani and Dax both love her so much. I'm glad Lani is already wanting to share with her!!

This is why Lani does not pick out her clothes for school on a regular basis :)

Sunday afternoon, we enjoy time outside on the slip-n-slide. Lani and Dax really need to put on some pounds before they have the real slip-n-slide experience. Jarod did add a little bit of soap to make it more eventful!

Jarod is very upset over this photo, but he will get over it. Yesterday, while I was feeding Harper, Lani decides to paint Dax's fingernails! As you can tell, he didn't put up a fight! The funny thing - Lani kept saying "Dax, daddy doesn't have to know about this." Oh and he had to go to school like this today, because I was all out of finger nail polish remover.

~My Sweet Girl~

Harper is a very happy baby. She is sleeping well and eating good!! She usually only get upset when she is hungry! We have been blessed with three very happy, very good babies!!!

~Awards Night~

Thursday Night was Lani and Dax's end of the year Award's Night at Covenant Christian Academy. All of the classes sang songs and were given awards. Lani received the "Best Big Sister" Award, because she loves her brother and sister sooooo much! Dax received the "Most Athletic" Award, which made daddy very proud! Before Awards Night started, I did a little bribing and told L and D if they went on stage without crying, and sang their songs good, we would take a trip to scoops. Lani and Dax did great and were able to enjoy a scoop of Superman Ice Cream. I thin you can tell by the pics that they really enjoyed their ice cream!

~Brother/Sister Love~

Harper's arrival has definitely been something Lani and Dax have been anxiously awaiting! Dax was a little stand-offish at the hospital, and of course Lani runs in and is ready to get her hands on her. Lani and Dax have both been very gentle with her and run in everyday and ask to hold her. The love their little sister!!!
